Solved Trying to add the USB selective suspend settings option to the Power Option window

I have a new HP laptop (v 25H2, OS Build 26200.6899) and I need to make sure that the USB suspend option is always off. I need the USBs running all of the time. However, when I go to the Advanced Settings tab under Power Options, the USB Settings option is not listed. How do I add this in and/or disable this function?

ok- so for my laptop which I leave plugged in when running my telescope, I would add

(On battery: Disabled)
powercfg /SETDCVALUEINDEX SCHEME_CURRENT 2a737441-1930-4402-8d77-b2bebba308a3 48e6b7a6-50f5-4782-a5d4-53bb8f07e226 0

to the command line, and that is it- correct?

Still having issues with USB power management. I checked the cables and other associated items (powered USB hub) that the cables run through down to the computer and they are all fine. Issue still seems isolated to the new HP computer. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, or I guess I will return it.

In power options advanced settings the USB selective suspend setting isn't available. Disabling S0 and it shows up. Don't know if this has anything to do with it.

I fought this battle after W11 bricked a 2TB SSD enclosure by turning off the USB ports while I was transferring 600GB of files.
I would recommend also disabling the ability for windows to turn off your USB controllers and root hubs by going into Device Manager, right clicking on each device listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers, selecting properties, clicking on the power management tab when it's present, and unchecking the boxes.

None. Manully configured so nobody except me can change any critical system files. (Don't ask how, it's probably against some rule somewhere)
ahh... I went in device manager after I connected my devices and 5 generic hubs appeared- each had the box checked to let Windows control power management. I unchecked all of them and they now remain unchecked. I had only done this for the root hubs. Now, all USB-related hubs are unchecked. So far, everything is running with no interruptions.
