Use the Nvidia Control Panel software to select which GPU to use with specific programs. Other than that I would let Windows decide which is used for Windows as it's GPU requirements are pretty low.

When you open the Nvidia Control Panel is it showing the smaller Optimus version or the full Nvidia Control Panel ?

What is the Lenovo Vantage App showing:
> GPU Working Mode > What options are listed, and what is selected/ticked ?

Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Customised settings for applications.

Are your relevant Applications listed under there ?

If so what does the drop down V options say ?

On my Lenovo Apps listed there currently says "Let Windows decide (High performance)" When in Hybrid (Optimus) Mode.
That is basically auto setting Nvidia mode for the listed Apps.

Back to the Nvidia Control Panel, what options are showing under "Manage Display mode" ?
