Okay

My sister-in-law's new pc has Bitdefender (paid) installed.

I would like to use Task Scheduler to run a weekly AV scan once a week.

I have done this inside the Bitdefender program but am unsure as to whether it will run the scheduled scan at the next opportunity if the pc isn't on at the time that the scan is due to run. I know that task scheduler does this - hence my requirement.

However, I can't find the program in order to run said scan.

In Task Sceduler Library I get 4 folders:

* Agent Activation Runtime
* Hewlett-Packard
* HP
* Microsoft - and expanding this I get these folders
* Office
* OneCore
* Windows
* XblGameSave

So, some questions.

Is it sufficient to leave Bitdefender to manage the weekly scan?

If no, how do I schedule the scan using Task Scheduler?

Thanks in advance

No need for weekly scans as real-time protection is on at all times. In fact most people don't need premium AVs anyway, common sense and an ad-blocker like UBlock Origin are free of charge and all that you need.

For a script like that, tho, you'd probably need an API and powershell scripting capability.
