Yeah... they're starting to strongly encourage using biometrics as "unstealable", but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the low-lifes figure out how to intercept or steal those and then reuse them.

Same here. I don't use biometrics because my fingerprints don't ever work. . . I just enabled 2FA on Facebook, Twitter, banking. . Like you said you did. I just opened a bank account yesterday. I know they don't have that one. . lol

I use Google Authenticator and get a code sent to my cell phone number. I've never had any issues with being hacked

I too use googly and have never been hacked as well. We are just a few of the lucky ones. When bestbuy had a breach in 2017...nothing happened. When X had a breach, 2024-25 i came through without a scratch. Currently using authenticator, passkey, 20 or more password characters on accts that dont have passkey option and changing the passes once every one to two months..and in some cases i use temp email when registering on a new website/buying stuff

My Twitter did get hacked in 2024. That's when I enabled 2FA on it using Google Authenticator. No trouble since.

I'm guessing just not having a cell has helped me immensely. 2FA isn't really optional anymore either. One wonders how secure TPM2 really is. Time will tell.

I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
I'd be far more concerned with facebook having my personal information than it being in some hacker database.

Gave Dell touch screen with Windows 11 to daughter and got me an OTVOC. Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.

Not me.. I use my wife's fake facebook account to shop marketplace, and that's all I do.

And I installed Win11 without a Microsoft account.

Google has me.. but even that is limited. I also use a flip phone, paid VPN, etc. so no tracking me there, and I won't sign up or use cloud-anything.

Dang, imagine back in the 1960's or 70's if the government told everyone they wanted them to wear a tracking collar everywhere they went.. I think the result would have been an enthusiastic exercising of our 2nd amendment rights.. to put it nicely.

I let the Russians spy on me and I don't own a cell phone, flip phone, smart phone or any of those sorts of phones. Not a GOOGLE user although I do have a YouTube accnt under a different name. I like STARTPAGE and FireFox is my main browser. The Russians have rather good paid VPNs.
