Hello all

I am unable to install (or at least go to) a build in the Canary or Dev Channel.

Indeed, the second restart of the PC, the installation goes from 30% to 48% and remains blocked as is until a GSOD.

Then the old version of Windows comes back into place.

My setup:
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 600
ASUS PRIME Z390-P
Intel Core i5 9600k @ 3.7GHz
Ventirad: Be quiet! PURE ROCK
32 GB RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4 3000 MHz CL16 SR
EVGA RTX 2060 6GB VRAM
Power supply: LDLC US-650G POWER SUPPLY 650W 80+ GOLD
Windows 11 64 bit on NVME SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS 250 GB SSD

I do this :
-> Install with Windows Update : stucks at 48 %
-> Install by ISO (thx to UUP (Unified Update Platform) Generation Project (v2.4.18) [by @rgadguard & whatever127] ) : stucks at 48%

Anybody have an awnser or an solution ? In my advice, I suppose that is a driver problem but I can't find the driver which crash the installation
Thanks in advance for yours anwsers and sorry for my English but I'm French

Hi,
Have you run the System File Checker from the Command Prompt to make sure you haven't got corrupt system files that may be causing issues?
See this tutorial here at Eleven Forums:

The sfc /scannow command is the first one to try

Did this
Always stuck at 48 %...
I think on the Canary 25324 build this 48% can take over 60 mins --- there's another long delay at 78%, Just try leaving it for a couple of hours -- normally these builds are fast but I did notice this one on install from new (canary Build) it took far longer than usual.

Update to the 25330 Canary build from 25324 via WU was quick and painless so another option might be to try the latest 25330 build from UUPDUMP directly.

Cheers

In my opinion it's a problem of a driver

That's quite unlikely as Windows these days has enough basic drivers in it to get an OS loaded on to almost any sort of machine !!! You can update special ones afterwards of course.
However, it crashes and I don't know why...
I reported the problem on the Insider Hub (in French and in English) I hope they can find a solution
