Windows 11 Pro + Win11 Canary VM.
So I have been using Samsung S25 FE 3 earbuds which cost over £180 (I actually got them free in a special deal).

Problem is they only work for about 2 hours before needing recharging. Also I can only hear on one side so I only need one earbud but the nonsymmetrical shape of the buds mean I can only use the right earbud. I just could not use left bud in right ear as it kept falling out.

So I decided to buy a cheap generic earbud on Amazon and got a new pair for £10!

I had no serious expectation of quality but decided to try anyway.

The buds are very basic, with minimal features other than stop/starting audio. No features like noise suppression but I only use them at home anyway.

And, amazingly, the sound waa reasonable quality and the battery is good for over 5 hours of audio.

Better still, the buds, whilst not perfectly symmetrical, mean I can use either bud comfortably in my right ear without falling out. So I can get over 10 hrs of audio!

I hardly ever use my Samsung branded buds now.

Sometimes less IS more.

I have a similar report from my daughter when I bought a pair of generic ear buds to replace the expensive ones she lost. She insists that they are better. (Plus they're pink!) :-)

Gave Dell touch screen with Windows 11 to daughter and got me an OTVOC. Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
I've had the fortunate circumstance of being able to review about ten pairs of inexpensive Bluetooth headsets over the past few months. I got mixed results. Even within the same price range I saw a big variety in quality. Some units had absolutely horrific sound quality or they had other issues with the operation of the ear buds or both. However, some of them surprised.

So, absolutely, there are some good bargains out there. The only problem for me is that you never really know what you will end up with unless you try them first.

Yup! You don't need to spend $300 for a decent set of earbuds anymore!
Some time ago, my sister asked me about earbuds, I recommended Jabra or Sony's..., she ended up buying a $30 pair of Anker earbuds..., perfectly fine and sound great! 🤷‍♂️

That is why I buy such things on Amazon. I just return them if crap.

Regular old earbuds (if I used them) would be good enough for me. As long as I can hear them, good enough for me. ;-) I can't see spending a crapload of money on something like that.

I have headphones I use occasionally & they a Panasonic brand. They sound good to me & weren't outrageously expensive.

I like good audio and good ANC, but, one of the big things is Bluetooth range, as I often wander around the whole house, or sometimes even the yard, with my phone remaining on my desk..., my $60 Sony WF-C510's cover it all, as well as fit and comfort.
