Uninstalled Edge, Start menu icon still there

I uninstalled Microsoft Edge using HiBit Uninstaller but in the Windows Store apps folder, the Edge icon is still there (looks white now). How do I delete it?

I think the location is in the system folder. And that's why the software you're using can't remove it properly.

Mine is the same, I use open shell start menu and the edge folder is pretty much impossible to get rid of. (it still launches Edge)

you need to use an appx package remover utility to get rid of it.
(Not recommended though cuz it breaks WU!)

I just gave mine a new identity and target, (and disable Edge Services)

Are you sure you can delete Edge it came preinstalled it was my understanding that you couldn't delete a preinstalled program but I could be wrong

@jerrypc1 I tried to delete the app and it just left the blank icon, which if I click still opens Edge so I assume either you cannot delete it (other than the icon) on the app icon now opens the program version.

Change the Target to another browser. It won't follow every protocol though!
Matter of fact, you'll probably get some errors!

I hope you understand Windows OS relies on Edge for certain system tasks, and uninstalling it increases future issues drastically. Plus you may have updates fail because of it, or at the least a future update will reinstall it. If you don't use it, just don't use it, but you shouldn't uninstall it.

Right, with the demise of Internet Explorer something has to be available to open links from Web sites and that now is Edge even though a different browser has been set as default, doesn't always obey. I also have seen a number of 'customizations' be returned to the defaults at the semi-annually Version Upgrades and some Build updates to them.
