USB Driver Error - Nothing Phone 3

Recently I bought Nothing Android Phone, and trying connect with my desktop. Phone is connected successfully only with "PTP option" but not File Transfer. Whenever I click file transfer option on phone, device manager icon gets grayed out and nothing works. but PTP option works well.

Are there any universal USB drivers which can be used for any android mobile?

do let me know for further details.

Thank you so much for the reply, I have done this already, however system is not recognizing the phone for File Transfer. As soon as I click on file transfer A024 Icon in Device manager grayed out. nothing happens in system. However PTP works very well.

Please help.

just an idea upload your files to google drive
then log on to google drive with your computer and download the files

bit of a mess around but workable until they get the USB driver problem fixed

@satishgr In the Device Manager, we find "A024" right click on it- Properties- Details tab- select Hardware lds (Hardware ID) in the Property list. We write the Code here (on the forum). (Copying works there.)

You're not the only one facing this issue. I've been having the same problem since I started using Windows 11. In my case, I have a Sony phone, but I'm experiencing the exact same issue as you. Either the icon turns gray, or as soon as I start transferring a file, the transfer gets canceled.

Years ago, I solved this problem in Windows 7 by installing generic Android drivers. Not the drivers that come with each brand, but the generic Android drivers that work with any phone. I haven't tried it on Windows 11 yet because I'm too lazy. Give it a try and see if you have any luck.

Yes it says Samsung but applies to most Andoid phones. Years ago you could just run a USB cable from your Andriod phone to your Windows PC and copy files back and forth. Microsoft and Google have both locked their systems down to prevent malware attacks. If Link to Windows app is on your phone it should be located with all the other options you can turn off and on. Camera Access, microphone access.Scan Qr Code etc..
