Solved USB HDD not getting a drive letter.

I just noticed that for some reason when I plugin a USB HDD into my desktop it's not receiving a drive letter. I have to go into Disk management and assign it a drive letter. USB flash drives are fine. This doesn't happen when I plug the drives into my other desktop running the Canary builds. Is there a setting I need to change or is this a bug caused by a update to 24H2 build 26100.4061?

Open CMD as admin - diskpart - then automount. If it shows automatic mounting of new volumes is disabled then type automount enable then press enter.

I found the solution to my problem. I ran Diskpart in a elevated command prompt. In Diskpart I ran Automount. This showed that Automount was disabled. Typing in Automount enable solved my problem. I have no clue of how or why Automount got turned off. I'm going to leave this thread posted in case someone else runs into this problem.

Do you know if a update may have disabled Automount? As far as I know, I didn't do anything that would have disable it.

I have had brand new drives that I had to assign a drive letter to. This is the first time I had to do it with drives that I've been using and had data on them.
