i have had usbdeview for a month on my laptop and there were about 20 logs or so but when i checked today over half of them were deleted could this be due to someone tampering with logs or does windows purge logs from time to time?
i also have usbdrive installed and none of my usbdrive logs were modified

Dealt with in

There are no USBDeview logs.
You were referring to entries shown in its user interface.

Yea, been using it for years and not aware of any logs. Are you referring to saves?

No, to entries listed in USBDeview's user interface.

This was established in the OP's TenForums thread.

Denis
what would possibly explain 1 month old entries disappearing? could it be that someone was messing with my computer? i had an update a day before that is the only thing i could think of

in this thread i posted almost a week ago usbdeview logs there were usbdeview entries that were deleted off of my computer for no apparent reason
i was wondering if this could be due to a usb virus infecting my computer and deleting usb logs to cover its traces

Have you changed which devices are connected to your machine via USB? If your USB device setup has changed then usbdeview will start reporting differently immediately after the change.

And no, I have not heard of a virus that randomly deletes records of USB devices being connected.
