It says to update Office 2016 and 2019 manually but 2019 support ended October 2025 and wont update so I dont know why it says to update it manually.

Edit . . . The Update solution is at Security Update Guide - Microsoft Security Response Center

Edit #2 It says add a New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. but does it get a name or does it stay "New Value #1" or should the name be "Compatibility Flags"?

Edit #3 Found the answer with Google AI that shows it's name as "Compatibility Flags"

0patch has pushed out a real time patch for this issue for both current and unsupported versions of Microsoft Office.

I only had the one place to add a key but when I added the Compatibility Flags in the added key it populated all of those other keys in my image above. It's my assumption that the COM Compatibility should already be there and then just add the key that starts with {EAB22...

I'll keep following this thread in case someone knows better.

That is the version I'm currently using. MS publish a regularly updated very long list of CVE updates online (don't have the url handy).

My Office 2019 looks like it is protected if the build number in the report is correct.

*Make sure the Build number at the top reads 16.0.10417.20095 or higher.

Mine is the same as yours. I only installed it withing the last month but it did not have the necessary key and DWORD value in the registry that is said to be required

LOL, I'm still using 2007 on one of my installs and 2010 on another. I only installed 2019 to see if I liked it and if there was much of a noticeable difference. I guess though that it's easier to find help for later versions as I'm not very proficient at Excel
