I allways follow this site for latest Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes.
It is a package for Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022. Both 32-bit and 64-bit are supported.

After i made a clean install to Windows 11 25H2, i installed Jul 2025 version from this site without any problem, all package's installation was about 1 minute at all.

Today i saw there is a new release because of that versions updates
Updated Visual C++ 2015-2022 runtime to version 14.50.35710.0
Microsoft changed the naming: the Visual C++ 2015-2022 runtime is now named "Visual C++ v14"

I unistalled all packages, restarted my computer, then started to install that new package titled Nov 2025.
I started 40 minutes ago and installation is still in progress.

It is very slow!!!

Some installers might rely on the deprecated vbscript. The real question is, do you still need all Visual C+?
P.S.: I have not installed any VC+ and VC+ 2015 refuses to install, probably because of compatible runtimes?

A lot of applications requiring Visual C++ will require a specific version which will be installed along with the App, thus you will end up with additional older versions.

So an AIO package is not that useful. Does not really matter as Drive space used is minimal.

You will see what I mean later on when you install some applications, you will get additional older versions the install date being when you installed the App.

I play very old games and some old programs so I need them.

@Wolfzz

Thanks for reply, I will check that site.
I dont think it is about installation package because they are files from microsoft site with a BAT file,
Package installs all VC runtimes one by one. Normally installation take a minute.

Problem is coming from Windows 11 25H2 maybe i dunno.

I have never had that issue in Windows 11, but I only remember once similiar issue in Windows 10 too.

11 is not a very good choice then, I can not even play COD MW2/MW3 anymore.
You could consider running older Windows in VM instead, it should be much easier.

You can prepare your Windows 11 to play old games. I like to play retro games and I can play most of them in W11.

For example there are 3 ways to play 16-bit Windows 3.1 games in Windows 11 for me.

1. Using otvdm.
2. Windows 3.1 installation in DosBox.
3. MS-DOS 6.22 + Windows 3.1 in Virtual Box

You can play .swf games with one flashplayer.exe file.

Some old games required Direct X Runtime Jun 2010,
Some of them requires Visual C++ Redistributable 2005.

I use several dosbox version to play ms-dos games.

There are a lot of display wrappers to play old games in widescreen like cnc-ddraw, nglide, etc...
Also there is a tool for DxWnd is very useful for retro gaming.
There are ways to emulate CD from image files so you can play old CD games.

There are websites for retro gaming like vogons.org

First off, thanks for the heads up on the latest Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes package on Techpowerup.

Just downloaded them and installed them. Everything installed quickly and as expected.
You don't have to uninstall the old packages first. Just run the "install_all.bat" as administrator and let the batch file do the work.
Perhaps you uninstalling the packages first and then running the installer caused some kind of issue?

Maybe uninstalling first caused that issue but when i install Jul 2025 version to clean install there were no problems, installation was about 1 minute at all.
I didnt try to install that new November version to clean install yet.If i do, i will write here the results.

If you have disabled the Microsoft Software Shadow Copier service the installation will fail since the installation of older VC++ runtimes attempts to create a restore point which obviously isn't going to happen and it will stall. Re-enable and start the service and try again.

Thank you for reply @scyphe

I disabled Microsoft Software Shadow Copier service for ages, the problem is not about that.
I did not get that issue on latest December 2025 version btw. (Microsoft Software Shadow Copier service is still disabled)
