I have a quick question for you Brink..
do you use VS Code your self? how is it?
I have the installer I grab and keep copies of software I might like along side MS Visual Studios main installer...
I have VS Community Ed. 2022 installed for now..
to compile open source software I like but also for my own temperature converter console app in C.
I wrote for college way back 2001 and ported to C++ in 2012..
