Good evening.
I am with version 23H2 22631.2715 and actually even with the other versions the network search never worked well for me.
However through the classic resource explorer the devices connected to the network are not detected.
I am forced to use a third party nprogram such as Advanced IP Scanner, This program works fine, but I cannot create a shortcut on the desktop of the network device.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Networking seems to be an issue with quite a few folks. Here is a tutorial.

If that does not work for you, I suggest trying to access the other network devices by ip address using file explorer. If that works you can create a desktop shortcut which can be pinned.

Yep, addressing network computers by IP rather than by name is good, but you do need to ensure each system fas a fixed IP, which you can set via your router. Otherwise it may not work reliably.

I agree. You can set static (fixed) ip addresses for all computers in your router, but, for me, it's much easier to set a static ip within each computer's setting.
You can do this in any/all Windows, iOSs, Linux and Android devices connected to your network as well as all wireless printers..
Here's how to do it in Windows 10 & 11.

Tip: it makes it easier to enter the necessary data if you first open a command prompt and type
ipconfig /all to get your current configuration.
