Hi folks
Those running web servers - how does one enforce https rather than http
I know how to do it in Apache via redirect to https and a virtual server but I'm flummexed with IIS / windows internet server.
Windows 11 Pro DEV edition is what I'm using for this. Probably fairly similar to apache but I've ZERO experience with this. Google rabbits on about how to install it which is easy enough and to get a basic service to work on localhost which I can access from another machine on LAN via http - but trying https I get that site can't be reached.
Machine A running Windows IIS Machine B (on same lan for testing) http://machineA/testpage OK, replace with https -- fail.
doesn't matter if using edge or firefox same result (I wouldn't expect the browser used to behave differently for this).
Thanks
cheers
