Solved Weird screen effects - OLED display

After upgrading to Windows 11, in certain apps I now experience weird graphical glitches (for example, MS Teams Meet Now meetings). Unfortuately I can't record it as it only appears on the screen.

To me it seems like an Explorer issue, not a graphics driver issue, because restarting Explorer fixes any leftover issues (e.g broken mouse cursor).

I just wanted to ask if I should downgrade to Win10 (as I don't have many days left to). Also, the reason the post is in this category is because I've only seen the effects on the OLED screen I have on my laptop.

Sys info is below and on profile for forum members.

I seem to have an older NVIDIA driver according to GeForce Experience. Was holding off on updating though I'll see if it fixes the issues. (keep in mind MS Teams uses Iris Xe graphics). Also, what version of the Iris Xe drivers do you mean?

Edit: I'll make MS Teams use the NVIDIA graphics after updating the drivers.

I forgot to mention, these issues weren't present in Win10. I upgraded because my MS Store was playing up but that's off-topic.

There seems to be an update from Intel available through Windows Update, so it might fix the Iris Xe issues.

The issues still aren't fixed. Should I just roll back to Win10?

My opinion is you have 2 ways you can approach this.

Roll back to 10. Make sure everything works as expected and all your files are still in place. If it does, run disk cleanup as administrator and remove all the junk left behind from the upgrade.

Download and install Macrium Free. Reflect Free Edition (scroll down on this page to where it says Backup at Home. It's the download marked "Reflect 8 Free") Make a full system backup of 10 using Macrium Free. Also make recovery media for Macrium. (Verify that you can boot from this recovery media)

At this point you can choose to remain on 10 OR you can do a clean install of 11 Clean Install Windows 11 Tutorial

If 11 runs correctly, install the 2 graphics drivers listed in post #2. Once again verify everything works as expected before you go to the trouble of reinstalling your apps. If 11 does not work as expected, restore your backup using the recovery media and you will be right back on 10 again.

If you want to keep 11 at this point install your apps. Also install Macrium Free into 11. You can browse your backup where you can copy and paste your personal files into 11.

Ok, so I've figured it out.

After researching it, I discovered that MX330 and 350 graphics are incompatible with Win11 fully and cause issues. Forcing all my apps (including MS Teams) to use Iris Xe (not auto-select) fixes all of the issues.

I suppose this is a graphics driver issue, and completely unrelated to the OLED display, and hopefully NVIDIA will release an update to fix it.

Also, keep in mind the Win11 update was not offered through Windows Update, and I had to use the install assistant, so MS might already be aware of this and trying to fix it.
