do you have any modification programs running (windhawk, startallback, openshell, etc)?

OK, rebooting fix the problem. I am beginning the think that this is some sort of update issue. Say Windows install an update and requires you to reboot, the start menu won't work until you reboot.

The whole Windows 11 start menu is an error of cataclysmic proportions. Installing Open-Shell fixes that error.

Platinum Rule 1 of Computing:
If things are not working as expected, first try a reboot.

Platinum Rule off Computing 2:
If a reboot does not solve issue - try again (often a couple of reboots are needed to sort a problem).

Platinum Rule of Computing 3:
Periodically reboot even if no particular issues (helps to keep pc in good condition).

I think the issue is that this is third instance of this happening in less than 3 months. A reboot does fix it but it happens too often.

I think the issue is that this is third instance of this happening in less than 3 months.
When Windows 8 came out it was so much worse they actually even had to amputate it.

When I'm having problems I always hold the shift key while hitting restart.
