      Tried that same result. I even set the PCIE slot to Gen 2 to match the card.

      Second card had a Fresco Logic 1100 chipset. I did find alternative drivers but the result was the same.

      Exactly what I did. I also did research on the chips on the cards, Fresco & Renesas & they are old chipsets, over 12 years old!

      The event viewer fail above is the Renesas chip with power saving turned off. The Fresco Logic chip board does the same thing.

      Disabled everything in the BIOS apart from boot drive & it still locks up! Could be the problem!
