I like them because of the 'geek' factor but are they really needed? Heck No!
You can get them from the MS Store by looking for Dev Home (Preview).
I think it's only for Insiders.

Simply more trinkets and baubles and shiny things to keep the inattentive masses amused, frequently duplicating services that are already available elsewhere on the device. Productively pointless and useless.

Although, all these addons do provide gainful employment for IT professionals who have to tend to the bedazzled user who thinks that everything has to be turned on, and then wonders why their device is running so slow.
