Hi, recently I had changed the monitor and found that at recommended resolution for 22 inch monitor, is 1920x1080. But having this scale, and adjust the scale of text , to 125, 150, i could see the tray icons almost to full. But the browsers closing edges and menus are not shown. the firefox menu, does not show, and the left top goes inside the screen. Like wise right close X menu of app and browsers , explorer etc. I saw and the settings are given in recommended pixels.
I give my measure ment some in cms and inches as per my convenience. The height of the bezel at four sides are 2cms each. the diagonal actually measures 59 cm, including bezel. the width including bezel is 20 inches and the height including bezel is 9 inches. I think i have given all the measures. Please give the correct pixel size of width and height of my monitor. I tried to list all monitors resolution and found nothing near 1920x1080. the next available near to it , 1680x1050 and I do not know , how to customize the pixel size that is not found in the settings menu or in advanced adapter menu. My monitor is samsung 22 inch as advertised, monitor.
is there any way to fix the problem. if the menus are not shown, then I find it difficult to explore anything. opening one window, and then pushing it down to the half size and then working. i could not also close when i want. Some menus are hidden and i tried all sorts of tricks.
Please give me the solution of how to find the actual view size of pixels so that i could customize. Also tell how to enter customized values . It allows in scale and not in resolution. thanks

Those measurements are irrelevant (after all - even 4x smartphones exactly the same size - can have Full HD, 2K or 4K resolutions) - it's all about the display used.

If you right click on Desktop -> Display Settings - > Display resolution "Recommended" value is the most accurate - since it's based on the Display used.

It's probably cause of a monitor setting. Tho, there's dozens of Samsung monitors at '22 so that detail is really vague (the exact model - should be found on the back). Check the monitor menu for a setting called "Auto Adjustment" - that should be able to auto-calibrate the screen position. See if this helps...

Hi, Neves.
I have tried all the tricks. the samsung monitor measurements are given to know the exact size of my available screen. Even when writing this reply I have to drag the menu to show the full page. If anybody gives that fig, then I can use CRU to customize the monitor size. List available modes do not show, any near point other than 1920x1080 and I tried all the tricks. The measurements, I think are relevant to know the exact pixel size of width and height, so that i could customize.
Windows force you on resolution and not allowing to have custom resolutions. It only allows scaling of texts and etc.
As I tell that the next resolution is shown as 1650x1050, which I know is not the screen size. Auto is on the monitor menu

Hi, Nothing could give me the clue. I came across a utility called CRU. This allows you to give customize resolution in windows 11. It supports almost all systems. It is a tiny utility, but with immense features .

A person who does not know the intricacies of the monitor actual size and advertised size including bezel would be facing this kind of issue of hidden menus due to resolution size.

My computer recommended resolution is 1920x1080 , in 16:9 aspect ratio.

First I downloaded , and tried various custom resolution. There are internal menus in the customized resolution and you can just enter the resolution and leave the other things and save with ok. You can add three resolutions at a time.

When you restart the system, the customized resolution could be seen added to the resolution tab of the windows settings. But it will not be shown, until you click on the resolution drop down menu.

Next, trying other resolution is the difficult one. It has to be 16:9 and it should be above the value of 1920x1080.

Here comes another website, which gives resolutions of width and height of all 16:9 in their websites .the llink is

List of perfect 16:9 ratios, for perfect resolution scaling at 1.7(7) screen aspect ratio

Now , I tried the second from 1920x1080, 1952x1098 , which is also a 16:9 resolution , near to the one recommended and it fixed the problem . When I restarted the pc and go to the settings menu and choose this resolution, every menu shows correctly.

So, the viewable area of my monitor is 1952x1098 and not 1920x1080. This fixed the problem and this explanation and links are given to those, who may have this kind of issue.

Thanks for all
