Look in a shadow copy.

And just how did he do this? If all he did was delete it from the desktop, it should still be accessible.
Press Win +R keys to open the Run box. Type explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder and click "OK". Then, the Recycle Bin will pop up

I said: He deleted all of the files from Recycle Bin.

copy what is in the code tabs and paste into notepad. Save it as link-shadows.cmd

rt click link-shadows.cmd and run as administrator.

explorer will open on the links to any shadow copies. You can look through and copy out any files you want.

Those who prefer a ui could try shadowcopyview which doesnt rely on net bloatwork and also runs nicely in basic winpe
