What is your internet security product of choice?

What internet security product do y'all use? I personally use AVG Internet Security. It helps me by alerting me when a website has a virus or an email does before I open it. Let's chat about it!

I use Windows Security (Microsoft Defender), and Malwarebytes Premium. The two run seamlessly together, and serve me well.

...also practice good surfing.

Its important to be mindful when surfing the Internet. :)

I always wondered if when one uses their own internet if a VPN is a necessity? So far no one has been able to definately answer that for me.

I use Norton 360 and Malwarebytes free. Norton 360 doesn't slow down my computer. I'm quite satisfied

I use Norton 360 also on 3 PCs on a AV partition on each to scan the others when I feel like it.
Otherwise I use Avast on the OSs (partitions) w/o Norton, Avast gives me a warning immediately when I click on a nefarious Google/other link that has spam/Virus/etc. on it.

Most AVs will warn you when you click on 'nefarious sites'! It's hardly a stand-out feature today.

I like Webroot, it's fast, tiny, uses few resources and effective. It also protects against ransomware.

I use Eset Internet Security on my three main computers. My wifes laptop is using Windows Defender. @kelper recommended Webroot to me and I'm going to try it when my Eset license runs out later this year.

I use Norton 360, it doesn't slow my computers down and been using it happily for years. Since it's been taken over by Lifelock though it has annoying pop ups occasionally trying to scare me into buying other products. I have never had a virus - but it has blocked quite a few nasty things from downloading. The only time I nearly had a trojan was from a usb stick - which Norton blocked.

I also use Malwarebytes free.

And I have a yearly subscription to common sense.

I use Windows Defender and Malwarebytes free. Anytime I want to leave the pc, for a meal for instance, I will start a full WD scan, or run a scan with MWB and turn off the monitor while I'm away. Several scans a week get done and aside from setting things up sensibly with Firefox and Edge, I don't seem to have any problems. I avoid allowing passwords to be remembered and just have to put them in more often, no big deal for me.

If your antivirus does its job, why would you do a manual scan? My antivirus will intercept any attack the instant it begins or will block it before it can even download.

Along with Windows Defender ! These are free ! Everyone has their own preference. If i am going to clean a computer inmostly one sweep is use Farbar, This program will display detailed information about the Windows Registry loading points, services, driver services, Netsvcs entries, known DLLs, drives, and partition specifications. It will also list some important system files that could be patched by malware. But a person better be trained in it's use to type up a fix !!

Nothing but Windows defender. Cannot remember the last time I personally had a virus or issue. It's been many years.
