Exactly.
We shouldn't ask who gets the money as long as we get what we expect to get with the money we pay. As long as it works, that's all that matters. If it doesn't work or it stopped working, there's no one else to blame but ourselves and we are somehow aware of that from the beginning.
I've only purchased VPN licenses from Stacksocial and no issues so far after 5 years.
But my advice, don't use credit card. Use only Paypal if you want or need to make a dispute later on. It's easier to deal with Paypal compared to credit card companies without even getting on the phone. And Paypal is very responsive.

Paypal only give you 180 days to make a chargeback though. And they investigate first and can take a very long time! Bank chargeback is possible up to 120 days and they give you the money back immediately and investigate after. Had to do a paypal chargeback last year as I was too late for the bank one, and it took months of hassle and not a very user friendly process. Why not use credit card?

180 days is more than long enough. 30 days is all you need. And in my more than 10 years of experience with Paypal (at least here in Canada), I've never lost a case. If sellers don't respond within 48 hrs to air their side, you automatically get your money back. I am saying, if you are dealing with grey market sellers, you will surely get your money back with Paypal because grey market sellers usually don't reply. Even Aliexpress sellers never won a case against me when I found out that their product don't work as advertised. I only use Aliexpress if I can't find the item I need anywhere else.
With Paypal, at least in my experience, it only takes 2 to 3 weeks to settle a case.
Paypal process is very simple. Just fill up the form and wait for the other party to respond.
For regular mechants like Amazon, Bestbuy, etc., I use my credit card.

I already have the 2021 Student edition, but I was thinking about upgrading to this full office edition in the link. If it doesn't work then it's good to know it doesn't work for some people.

Please note that any legitimate site does NOT, canNOT and should NOT offer an .exe file as the source of installation. Whether or not it works is irrelevant, it simply means it's a pirated copy of the software, engineered to bypass Microsoft's EULA

Legitimate purchases of Microsoft products are provided with a registration/activation key that is input when the software is installed, either after downloading from Microsoft web site, or from a genuine hologrammed installation disk. Requiring an account to log in to the Microsoft web site is an even more authorative indication of genuineness

One of the advantages of the annual subscription model

MS365 Family had Copooplot introduced in September 2024. It came up automatically when MS Word was opened. After a deafening outcry across the world, the latest update version in January 2025 offered a settings option to turn it off. Not the most ideal solution (no Copooplot at all) but at least it's something .....
