Who runs UUP dump—how susceptible to a supply chain attack is it?

For a few years now I have gone to the UUP dump site to download the latest build of Windows 11 and run their script to generate an ISO image. I would then use Rufus to copy it to a USB flash drive and use that to install Windows on a computer. This has worked extremely well for me.

With the rise of supply chain attacks I am wondering,
  1. who actually operates the site,
  2. how well they would be able to protect themselves against being compromised,
  3. and how easy it would be to insert code into the script that would compromise every single Windows system installed with the resulting ISO?
It would seem to me that UUP dump would be a very attractive target to criminals and state actors alike who could spend a large amount of resources on that.

Unfortunately, the downloadable media coming from Microsoft directly is very outdated.

MS releases an updated ISO every month, the last one is from August 25H2 26x00.9168.
The problem is that only subscribers are allowed, but they share verifiable links and SHA.

Just run Garlin's script to see which ISO MCT would download, and you will see it is 9445.

The problem with MCT is, that it uses the current Windows to create ISO. If an user wants to fix an issue, he might create a damaged ISO using damaged Windows. It happened to me many times, thus I never use UUPdump, so I always prefer to download ISO instead.

No site is 100% impregnable -- but I'd be far more worried for a home computer user just getting scammed these days. I've used UUPDUMP for a long time and never had problems with it.
The only issue that might reasonably be of relevance is if someone manages to clone the site but the effort of doing that just to install malware on a users machine really isn't worth it.

Corporate / Work users etc are unlikely to use uupdump anyway for their own machines which are usually pretty well locked down anyway.

What? That's not true. MCT downloads data from Microsoft when creating the ISO. Think of running Windows 10 or even Windows 7 and use MCT to download the Windows 11 ISO.
