Windows 11 Pro X64 Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.80
Decided to take a chance with the upgrade from W10 and was pleasantly surprised that everything seemed to work.
I then tried to customise the taskbar and alas alack that broke the camel's back.
So back to W10.

Microsoft is pretty serious about the changes they made to the Taskbar and the START Menu.
They ARE tweakable, but it's easy to break Windows 11, while doing so.

Best thing to do, is make a full backup of Windows 10, then do your upgrade to Windows 11 and make a full backup of Windows 11.
Then, you can play around with whatever you want, and if it breaks, just restore from a backup.

explorer.exe is also very flaky in Windows 11. Crashes and restarts are common.
They've released numerous fixes specifically addressing the explorer.exe issues, but they still persist for some.

As a power user perhaps you can help me achieve my plan; which is to clone or copy my W10 system to a second partition on my SSD and then to upgrade that copy to W11.
So far I have had little success in that endeavour.

You will need another Windows license, if you want to be able to use both the original and the clone.
This was why I suggested using backups in post #2.

Good advice from @Ghot in post #2. One thing is 11 is not meant to be the same as 10. ExplorerPatcher and Winaero Tweaker are a couple of Programs which can get the "old" win 10 taskbar back

There was a few things I didn't like when 11 first came out, some I managed to change the rest I grew to like. If it wasn't different it would be, well windows 10 :LOL:
