Wi-Fi client keeps connecting and disconnecting at several-second intervals

I set up a UniFi (Ubiquiti) Wi-Fi network for a client. One of the Wi-Fi clients is a the sole Windows client on the network, and I see what I have pasted in at the end of this post, in the logs. The other clients are all macOS laptops and iPhones, which don’t exhibit this behavior. I will have to take a Windows laptop over there, to test, whether this is a problem common to Windows hosts (I very much doubt it is). Assuming that it isn’t, what could be the problem? A damaged Wi-Fi daughter board? That I would not be able to fix with software. I also don’t know, what software CatieLaptop is on.

Since the issue exists only on a single device it's fair to assume the issue is with the device. I would start by updating the wireless NIC driver on the Windows device and review logs.

Event Viewer > Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > WLAN autoconfig to start and you may need to look for any vendor specific logs too

I have since looked at the logs to see, what happens when a different Windows 11 client is connected. It showed no such behavior. This is definitely related to that one particular client or possibly to that model. At this point I don’t know what model laptop CatieLaptop is.

You might get an idea of the laptop's brand, by looking up the host's MAC address in a MAC-> OUI website.
No doubt! I have come across this issue in the course of my consulting work. The laptop in question is the personal property of my client’s employee. While getting to the root of the problem would satisfy my obsession with not leaving issues unsolved, troubleshooting the device itself is not within my purview.

But knowing the OUI will determine if this is an OEM device, or if it's a problem with a 3rd-party adapter like a cheap USB WiFi which can be easily replaced.

I totally agree. The problem is that even with that information, I would not have access to the laptop in question.

You can pass along (as a professional courtesy) what observations you see on the router. If it's a built-in NIC registered to a PC OEM, then suggest they contact their PC's support. If the OUI is something else, you can pass along the simple suggestion to try a different adapter.
