Wideband Speech Enable

I'm using Windows 11, 22H2, OS build 25227.1.
I'm trying to enable "wideband speech" on my Apple Airpods Pro (1gen). I assumed I would be able to change the quality of the microphone to a higher frequenzy and therefore better voice quality. But I cannot change from the current 1 channel, 16 bit, 8000 Hz Quality.
I've tried two different usb bluetooth dongles, asus bt-400 (bluetooth 4.2) and bt-500 (bluetooth 5.0).
I've tried re-adding the airpods, re-installing the bt drivers but I cannot change. I also cannot find any info of this "wideband speech" anywhere else but the post onto the windows insider blog.
The build I'm referring to is the 22526 were they specify
  • "We have added support for wideband speech when using Apple AirPods products (AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max), improving audio quality for voice calls."
Does anyone else have been able to change the quality of their bluetooth microphone since this build?
