After re-installing Windows 11 22533 Dev, the widgets icon is now back next to the start icon. When I updated to this build, it moved to the left of the taskbar, where I would simple hover the pointer and it would open.
I have paused updating to the latest build because of the Task Manager problem. I use the Performance tab a lot.
This is a complete wipe/format/reinstall. There is just bare Windows 11 Home on the drive with all the Microsoft updates, and all the Store apps updated. No third party apps are installed.
This was installed using the most recent Dev ISO from Microsoft.
I liked the widget on the left, because it kind of offset the perceived icon imbalance on the taskbar, with nothing on the left, and also because of the hover convenience.
Any way to get it back to the left? A second clean install did not help.
