Will turning on Secure Boot cause issues with an existing Windows installation?

Battlefield 6 requires Secure Boot to run but I have turned it off on my ASRock B650M Pro RS.

I cannot remember why I did this exactly, as it was a long time ago.

Will anything happen to my existing Windows installation if I turn on Secure Boot?

Enabling Secure Boot on an existing Windows installation generally doesn't cause issues, unless Windows was originally installed using a legacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI. If your system is already configured to boot using UEFI, enabling Secure Boot is usually safe. However, if Windows was installed in CSM (Compatibility Support Module) mode, which is a legacy BIOS compatibility layer, enabling Secure Boot could cause problems.

You need to disable CSM in the BIOS, first.

Also, I believe I have read that Windows decided to instigate Bitlocker in 24H2 with Secure Boot switched on (Or maybe that was just on a new installation of Windows).
If on the poor chance this happens, there are tutorials here to disable and turn OFF Bitlocker

If you're using unsigned drivers or drivers with revoked signing certs, then Secure Boot will block them.

Then you won't be able to play Battlefield 6 as this an inherent requirement
