Win 11 Explorer File Menu Bar BUG?

Lenovo Legion laptop Windows 11 22H2 22621.963

I use dark theme. Occasionally a white file menu bar under the tabs will show up for no reason. I've checked the options and there's nothing anywhere referring to it.
There used to be a check box for it in See more ... / Options / View that is no longer there, so I cannot enable or disable it.

I've read it's been removed so why does it still pop up now and then?

Thanks

It's just the way the windows default Dark theme is. it's like when they put it together they just stopped halfway through, and didn't care if it was finished or not. To switch to a theme other than the default Windows light and dark. Check out the Ultra UX Theme Patcher it's by no means perfect but it sure beats that default "sort of" dark theme. And if you want control over the style layout used in file explorer and the start menu, you can't go wrong with Start All Back.

No we dont do that. I find that antivirus and antimalware software is more damaging and evasive than most of the thing they remove.

Do not fear the registry, for contains all of the answers.
Still odd that it shows the file menu at random when it's not supposed to be there at all.

Hello, :alien:

You can see if option two in the tutorial below may be able to remove the menu bar in File Explorer for you.

Thanks. It was set to "1" but only displayed it occasionally, so we'll see what happens.
