Hallo,
I did a CleanInstall on Lenovo P50 with Win11 23H2 and tested the recovery environment.
Result: Win11 hangs at please wait, then Dism Repair commands and SFC, everything ok.
Now an Inplace Repair as a test. Result: Phase OS error.
Windows 11 could not be installed. Your PC was restored to the state it was in before you started installing Windows 11. 0xc1900101 - 0x20017 The installation was not successful. An error occurred in the _OS phase during the boot process.
All this in GPT (UEFI), partition style.
Then with the same SSD as a test in a much older laptop with UEFI, result: Everything works wonderfully here.
If I install Win11 in MBR BIOS style everything works.
This is very strange and can only be due to the UEFI.
I also tested it with older UEFI and Win11 22H2, it doesn't work either. It only works with MBR BIOS. And the old laptop doesn't cause any problems at all.
maybe someone has an idea.
