Hooray more stuff for me to track down and disable. One of my favorite things to do is configure the UI colors. and so far the only thing I really have to deal with is a portion of the system font color being controlled by some entity I can't seem to get a fix on and it drives me insane. it's the only thing I can't seem to gain control of. And I've figured out not only complete color control of the UI but also the image paneling that control buttons switches progress bars and other graphically controlled details by learning learning how to edit the aero.msstyle theme file. Even most apps and programs wind up getting painted with my colors when they load. But to put up with something else that's probably just going to pick the the same two colors "almost black" and "white" doesn't sound that fun.

This shows both my screens one horizontal one vertical that's why there's a black Square in the screenshot It's a work in progress but I didn't use any full-blown theming software to do it. Just the ultra ux theme patcher to make the system use edited msstyle files and a small editor for the msstyle file I picked up off GitHub that's actually just called msstyle editor. system UI.png

No we dont do that. I find that antivirus and antimalware software is more damaging and evasive than most of the thing they remove.
    Other Info
Do not fear the registry, for contains all of the answers.

Hello William, :alien:

ACM enablement has the following requirements on a SDR screen (not HDR):
  • WDDM driver version 3.0 or greater
  • Supported GPU:
    • AMD:
      • AMD RX 400 Series or later
      • AMD Ryzen processors with Radeon Graphics
    • Intel
      • Integrated: Intel 12th Gen (Alder Lake) or later
      • Discrete: Intel DG1 or later
    • NVIDIA:
      • NVIDIA GTX 10xx or later (Pascal+)
  • There are no hard requirements on the display or connection – ACM can provide benefits even on 8-bit sRGB panels. However, it is strongly recommended ACM devices to have panels with a wider-than-sRGB gamut, and optionally 10-bits per color channel or greater.
