According to Microsoft, in order to have a Copilot+ eligible system, you need a NPU capable of at least 40 TOPS. There are a number of systems now available that claim they have 90+ TOPS but include the CPU and GPU in this calculation while the NPU is like 13 TOPS. Would these types of systems be considered Copilot+ eligible?

No.

The simple way to make sure that a PC is an actual Copilot+ PC is to just look for the Copilot+ badge on the system and the advertising / specs for a system.

I am looking for a mini desktop computer which is Copilot+ enabled. I have found two so far which meet the bill.

*1. ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI with an Intel Core Ultra Series 2 (2xxV) Processor. They have NPUs with the following TOPS values (Ultra 9 has a peak TOPS of 48, the Ultra 7 has the same, but the Ultra 5 has a value of 40). Unfortunately these seem to be few and far between right now.

*2. GEEKOM A9 Max AI with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with a NPU engine capable of 50 TOPS. This is available now on Amazon.
