Windows 11 Explorer Patcher

Hello, ever since i upgraded to win11 i have hated the start menu.. i found Explorer Patcher about 12 mths ago and "Restored" the win10 start menu and until recently, it has been working a treat.
i (used to) store all my frequently used apps and program on the start menu.
then all of a sudden, one day, all of my apps (only) have disappeared. i have set up a new profile and get the same result, however when i uninstall EP i get my apps back.
Has any one else experienced this anomaly or is it just me???

Pic1 is what i "Pin to Start" the required app. it notifies me it has been pinned. (Wikicamps)

Updated: I had forgotten to update the main components in my Desktop PC. I just finished doing it. :geek:

Hello Chappeli. I visit here occassionally and just happened to see your post. I too use EP with Start10.
Reinstall Start10 use your license to activate. EP is a wonderful program and it gave me back QLA, a very important Windows feature for "me". Pluse everything else we could with our Taskbar since W10.

Remember you need to configure Start10 after you install it. If you ever install it again don't delete the settings during the uninstall, just the program. Here is my Start10 on W11.

Your screen shot look like the old win7 start menu??
What i am trying to do is to get all my apps working again in a Win10 style, by just using EP, which until a week or two ago worked fine????
as can be seen by this screen shot below (the Gaps) i now have a lot of "Apps" missing. they are also absent from the menu tree and the only way to find them is by using the search function which is (especially now) extremely frustrating.

That is not a W7 Start Menu, it is Start10 from startdock.com. It's called the Modern Start 10. When it's configured you have the choice to use W7 and a couple other interfaces. If you like W11 Start Menu then (right click) on any app shortcut on the left side of your Start11 menu and choose to pin to the Start Menu. Also, if you have uninstalled apps in Settings, they will no longer appear in your Start Menu.

there's a recent problem regarding Explorer Patcher and other 3rd party tweaking tools after installing the KB5022913 update as noted by Microsoft:

After installing KB5022913 or later updates, Windows devices with some third-party UI customization apps might not start up. These third-party apps might cause errors with explorer.exe that might repeat multiple times in a loop. The known affected third-party UI customization apps are ExplorerPatcher and StartAllBack. These types of apps often use unsupported methods to achieve their customization and as a result can have unintended results on your Windows device.

Workaround: We recommend uninstalling any third-party UI customization app before installing KB5022913 to prevent this issue. If your Windows device is already experiencing this issue, you might need to contact customer support for the developer of the app you are using. If you are using StartAllBack, you might be able to prevent this issue by updating to the latest version (v3.5.6 or later).

Next steps: We are presently investigating and will provide more information when it is available. If you are using any third-party UI customization app and encounter any issues, you will need to contact customer support for the developer of the app you are using.

edit 3/3 - the newly released 3/1 version of Explorer Patcher is now compatible with the KB5022913 moment 2 update

i did download and install the patcher update but it didnt change the behaviour.

Hi,
You know with beta and insider build use who cares if someone finds a bug and doesn't report to the developer of the app they have issues with.
System imaging would of been a good thing to use, to bad ignorance is bliss for some betaware users lol

I use main stream releases of 11 and I've not had any issues with EP often I even hold off a little while longer just because ms has a horrible record of releasing bad builds/ updates.

Like above start menu is golden now with EP installed about all I use EP for now days.

Doubt this is all the dope was using
Open-Shell and 7+ Taskbar Tweaker, but you would still hope that a tool like ExplorerPatcher couldn't completely break Windows Explorer, it stopped it from loading at all,
