Windows 11 Goes Into Boot Loop After Enabling Virtual Machine Platform

Hi I have an issue that made me crap my pants... here's the whole story. I did a fresh install of Win 11 25H2 early October, everything went great, I installed WSL, restarted IIRC, and then installed Ubuntu from MS Store. I then tried to run WSL and it said it needed an update and went ahead and installed the update. After a requested restart after the update my computer went into a boot loop (it would boot to the Windows boot screen then reboot and repeat until automatic repair initialized) and I had to run startup repair to fix it. Afterwards when trying to run WSL it said no installed distros so I opened Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store and WSL threw Error: 0x80370114. I Googled and found I hadn't installed Virtual Machine Platform so I went ahead and installed that and did the requested reboot. Again I encountered a boot loop but this time startup repair didn't fix it. I tried booting into safe mode and Windows saw the feature install failed and rolled it back. So that's where I am now, everything working as before. Definitely don't want to bork my Windows but also would love to have WSL.

I have not done an SFC /scannow yet but can definitely do that if necessary. Any ideas if something else might be wrong? This computer previously had Win 10 with VMWare and WSL and Ubuntu for WSL running perfectly so virtualization has to be enabled in BIOS. The issue sounds kinda like this one.

Thanks!

I figured it out! It was a driver issue as per here ... I installed Photoshop Elements 11 that I bought in 2013, which installed a DVD burning driver pxhlpa64.sys which is incompatible with Win 11. So I just disabled the driver in Autoruns and everything installed beautifully aftewards.
