WINDOWS 11 PAINT USE THICKER BRUSH

It is not obvious how to use a thicker brush in paint in windows 11. The toolbar no longer works in the top middle of the page. It is greyed out. Hope this helps someone else.

The size slider at the left is for use with the Pencil and Eraser Tools or with Brushes.

The Size setting at the top center is for use with the various Shapes tools. It is greyed out until you select one of the tools. For example:
