I want to know if there is a way to set the png format as default when saving photos from the internet. All I get when I click save photo as is the jpg or all files in the menu. On some social media if I got to select a photo only the png ones in my photo folder will show but the jpg won't unless I select all files. Thanks

I am not aware of it. You can use a Chrome extension named "save image as ping' that works well. It can also be installed in Edge by going to the Chrome Web Store.
It adds "save image as png " to your right click context menu while browsing the web.
Once you save your first image and choose the folder where you want to save it, from then on that browser should remember the folder you chose.

I have over a thousand images saved from the Internet/Web sites and as their posted format, .jpg, .png, .webp and .jfif, no issues with working with them as needed. Sometimes I need to change the file name to avoid duplicates but never the assigned extension.
