This was very strange.

After resetting my Yubikey NFC 5 key, I tried to re-add a PIN under the Sign In options / manage Security Key when I click the Add PIN, nothing happened. No Add a new PIN prompt window, nothing at all. This used to work fine running Windows 10.

Eventually, when I setup the Yubikey for my Outlook account using the web browser running Edge, it gave that prompt to create a new PIN for the Yubikey.

But nothing happens when I try to select the Add PIN under the Windows 11 Sign In Options setting under manage Security Key.

Do you think that this is a bug?

Probably. Changing the PIN through the Windows screen didn't work for me either (the window with the "Change" button just disappeared without doing anything). Maybe it's better to rely on the utility provided by the key manufacturer. According to YubiKey documentation, the YubiKey Authenticator may be able to manage the FIDO2 PIN.

I tried it with an older YubiKey as well by attempting to Add a PIN, but nothing happens.

However, the Reset option works.
