Windows 11 software says I do not meet the requirement, despite having the minimum ones

Yes, I have TPM 2.0 on. I am using HP laptop. As far as I know, it doesn't have the option to enable TPM or something (it's enable if there's option) I haven't touched it though. Yes, I am using UEFI mode. I have Directx 12.

I have the minimum requirements but it still tells me I can't even run it. Anyone having the issue? I guess we'll have to wait for a fix too.

Normally you need to enable TPM in the UEFI setup for it to actually be active.

You can verify from the Verify Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Chip on Windows PC tutorial at 10F. Option 2 is usually the easiest to go with, but any of them will work.

If it shows as not available, you need to go into your UEFI setup and enable it.

I am having the same issue with my HP Laptop. But it doesn't give me an option to enable it in the UEFI BIOS. My HP Desktop also has a UEFI BIOS, but it says it doesn't have a compatible TPM.

The hard limit is going to be TPM 1.2 - Win11 should (eventually) allow installation as long as you have that and everything else checks out.

@larc919 said he had an update to Intel software that allowed that option to be unlocked in his BIOS, and then the test passed.

As soon as I find hte post I'll link it here.

I also have an HP laptop, same deal. My TPM 2.0 is clearly enabled (under Security Devices in Device Manager). If fact, my drive is BitLocker enabled so I know it's working.

I suspect that the health check utility is simply fudged up right now. We'll simply have to give it time.

In fact, that utility is so messed up that it says I'm running Windows 10 2009 when I am actually running 21H1 although I guess it's basically the same thing.

Windows 11 INSIDER does not support Intel Gen-6 CPUs ... :crys:
I have an Intel Gen-7 CPU G4560 also not meet the requirement ..
With TPM2.0 and Secure-Boot enabled..

And is there any way to Fake CPUID? like hackintosh.

dfc643, when I first wrote my post (the one just before yours) I was so ticked off because the requirements just seem crazy. In what world should a 7th gen i7 with 32 GB RAM, WiFi 6, 4k display, NVMe SSD, TPM 2, and Thunderbolt 3 not be supported?

But as I think about it, I can't help but think that Microsoft is going to modify this eventually. After all, I think it also says that minimum CPU requirement is only 1GHz and mine runs several times that speed.

I guess that we all just need to be patient and see what the months ahead bring.

For now the blood is slowly draining from my head but if these requirements become the final ones without some moderation I'm gonna be having words with someone :)

End users cannot rely on Upgrade to the New Windows 11 OS | Microsoft to determine whether their PC can or cannot run Windows 11 if it displays:

Code:
This PC can't run Windows 11

While this PC doesn't meet the system requirements to run Windows 11, you'll keep getting Windows 10 updates.

This PC can't run Windows 11 is simply a catch all phrase that is going to be frequently incorrect.

The tool posts information on hardware.

It does not post complete information on problems related to Windows.

The PCs may run Windows 11 after troubleshooting failed windows updates / upgrades.

Please calm down lol😙
I think Microsoft just want clean up the "old" PCs. But which kind of PC is "the old PC"? the answer just Microsoft knows.🤔

Fortunately,
"Setup.exe" has no limit about CPU model, just need TPM 2.0 now.
We can waiting for an ISO/ESD image file. 🤫

Windows 7 and 8.x says: Not supports Gen 7 due to Gen 7 is too new.
Windows 11 says: Not supports Gen 7 due to Gen 7 is too old.

UPDATE
seems Microsoft changed the requirements.

Hard Floor:
  • CPU: Core >= 2 and Speed >= 1 GHz
  • System Memory: TotalPhysicalRam >= 4 GB
  • Storage: 64 GB
  • Security: TPM Version >= 1.2 and SecureBootCapable = True
  • Smode: Smode is false, or Smode is true and C_ossku in (0x65, 0x64, 0x63, 0x6D, 0x6F, 0x73, 0x74, 0x71)
Soft Floor:
  • Security: TPMVersion >= 2.0
  • CPU Generation
But, the 7th Gen Intel CPU seems uses TPM 1.16 version. (report from Windows Defender)
You can buy a TPM 2.0 module by self if laws allowed in your country. (Disallowed in Mainland China)

But, the 7th Gen Intel CPU seems uses TPM 1.16 version. (report from Windows Defender)
You can buy a TPM 2.0 module by self if laws allowed in your country. (Disallowed in Mainland China)
Actually, my 7th gen system came with a TPM 2.0. That particular system is a laptop so no swapping it out after purchase.

This PC can't run Windows 11 is simply a catch all phrase that is going to be frequently incorrect.
Agreed, but my more immediate concern is the insider builds. When I tried to switch on the insider option it told me to go take a hike and that my system could not run Win 11. Hopefully it will behave differently if I get an actual ISO image.

UPDATE,
a funny things. insider program seems work fine without any warning after reboot windows.👍
insider program says "your pc incompatible with windows 11" before reboot.

BUT, "PC Health Check" still reports "cant run windows 11".🤪

Intel Gen7 G4560, TPM Enabled, Secure-Boot Enabled.

insider program says "your pc incompatible with windows 11" before reboot.

Because they are allowing even fully incompatible devices to still run Windows 11 in Insiders.

As far as I knew I had a TPM 1.2 module. At least that's what tpm.msc showed. However whilst fiddling with my BIOS if you will pardon the expression, I now have a TPM 2.0.

What I did is enabled secure boot, PPt or PTT and enabled TPM and set it to 2.0. I rebooted and went into BIOS and opened the TPM page to be greeted by a page full of esoteric settings. No I don't have a clue what they mean. tpm.msc shows tpm 2.0

AsRock Z270 PRO4 and a ASUS GeForce 660 graphics card. Direct X 12 working at X11

"While we recommend that all PCs meet the full hardware requirements for Windows 11, we are allowing some limited exceptions as we apply these new restrictions. All Windows Insiders who have already been installing builds from the Dev Channel on their PCs up through June 24, 2021 will be allowed to continue installing Windows 11 Insider Preview builds even if their PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements."

For the Americans, what does "up through June 24" mean?

Up to and including 24 June. So if you joined the Insiders yesterday you'll need to have flighted a build to be eligible.

Yet another way they are gonna irk people.

As for TPM - you've enabled (more than likely) a firmwarebased TPM, which a lot of newer motherboards seem to have, despite not being enabled on the fly. Congratz!

So, I managed to come off the ledge a bit regarding the lack of support for anything below an 8th gen Intel Core CPU. I read an article that explained that with the final release Windows will allow installation of CPUs prior to the 8th gen but it will warn that it is not recommended.

If that is in fact what really happens in the final product, I can live with that :-).
