Windows 11 system settings only temporarily applies changes - resets upon reboot


I have a very similar issue. A windows 12 Pro. Someone said it sounds like what he corporation does to prevent any files really being saved or setting changes save to the local PC. Look up Unified Write Filter. Let me know if it helps. I'm still stumped

I did a fresh install on a brand new SSD and after a few months it decided to reset the entire operating system without my permission for no reason. It didn't give me a choice. I went back to Windows 10. Hopefully Windows 12 will be a lot better

I was wondering too if this was a mistype,
Windows 12 is in extreme Alpha state right now and not available to the public. The earliest it will preview is in 2027
Microsoft is concentrating on improvements to Windows 11 at this time.
