Windows 11 Pro 24H2
I had been using Windows 11 Pro 23H2 on my Dell laptop and everything was working fine. A few days back, I clean installed Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.863) and did Windows update too. However, during a particular time period (6-10 AM), the laptop's touchpad mouse freezes for around 5 seconds every 1 minute or sometimes every few minutes but after that time period, everything works normally. I thought maybe certain tasks scheduler was running, so deleted all the scheduled tasks but still same problem.

So I formatted C drive and reinstalled Windows 24H2. Just to check if the problem was solved or not, I did not install any other apps. But again, during that particular time period, the same issue occurred.

Thinking maybe this is an issue with Windows 11 24H2 release, I formatted C drive and installed Windows 11 23H2. But during that particular time period, the issue continued.

Tried some of the remedial methods from Google search, but the problem continued. What could be the problem here, since my laptop was working normally few days back before installing Windows 11 24H2? Please suggest any solutions. Thanks.

Considering the age of your laptop, have you considered the likelihood that your touchpad itself is the culprit and needs replacing? Touchpad failure is quite common, especially when it's been used for years. What happens when you disable the touchpad and use a mouse? Does it work as expected?

By any other name, 24H2 is regardless, a beta. It isn’t a public release. People who use these insider builds are bound to face problems.
You said yourself, with 23h2 you had zero problem with the touchpad. Perhaps you’ve already found the culprit?

What is the Make and Model # of your Dell Laptop?
As stated go to Drivers & Downloads | Dell US and type in your Make and Model # and download the Trackpad driver.
Download Crystal Disk Info and/or DiskGenius in my signature. View the SMART info. If the drive is anything less then Good it needs to be replaced.
You can also start a Command Prompt as Admin and Copy and Paste or type
DISM /Online /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RestoreHealth and press Enter. When that is done, type
SFC /scannow this will restore any missing or corrupted files.

If all fails, you can try running a Clean Boot. If that works, you can keep it this way, or you can add one or more Services or Startup items till the behavior returns, then you will know the culprit.

Since the freezing occurs only during a specific time and works normally the rest of the time, touchpad failure maybe ruled out here. I will test with a mouse.

I reinstalled 23h2 to test, but the issue continued.

Try installing the touchpad driver from manufacturer.
Tried that but did not solve the issue.

It's Inspiron 5570 model. Tried reinstalling trackpad driver.
Health status is Good.
Did the DISM and SFC commands too. The issue continued during that specific time period only.
Will test and try the Clean Boot method and see if it works.

It might be the touchpad application doesn't work properly. Try uninstalling it and use the touchpad without the Synaptics (or whatever) software.
