Generic keys cannot activate Windows.does anyone have any info on getting my product key out , i have used jelly bean key finder which i have used in the past for win 7 , but with this digital license activation , does anyone know if this key its giving me is indeed the correct one ( not going to post it here before anyone asks)

If the machine was supplied with Windows 8/8.1/10/11 pre-installed by the OEM then a real key is embedded in the bios firmware. You can read this key with ShowKeyPlus.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022.
