Hi @thatwindowsuser
This video has nothing to do with a conversion from 11/10 to 7.
It just shows the concept progressions from code name Longhorn to the present.

What have you accomplished on your project by the way?
Screenshots wanted.

I didn't have the time to watch all the video. What are you trying to do? Make Windows 11 look like 7? Yes, you can. If you have a Windows 7 installation you can extract all system icons from the batmeter.dll (power icons), imageres.dll (most system icons), pnidui.dll (network icons), SndVolSSO.dll (audio icons) and stobject.dll (eject USB icon). All these are in C:\Windows\System32 folder in Windows 7. I used CustomizerGod to extract these icons, other tools exist such as Resource Hacker. Once you have all these icons, you must replace the original icons in Windows 11. But in latest Windows 10 and Windows 11, not all these icons are found in the respective files in C:\Windows\System32. So you have to modify the respective .dll.mun files in C:\Windows\SystemResources instead. These cannot be modified directly, so you need to copy the files in a temporarly location, (such as C:\temp or your desktop), modify them and then replace them. You will need batmater.dll.mun (power icons), imageres.dll.mun (most system icons), SndVolSSO.dll.mun (audio icons) and stobject.dll.mun (eject USB icon) from C:\Windows\SystemResources folder. Once you have replaced all the icons, you must either restart the computer in Command Prompt to replace the files, or you must take ownership of both the C:\Windows\SystemResources folder and of each file separately. After you take ownnership you must modify permissions to allow you full access (including write/modify) to the folder and each file. Then rename the original file as backup (such as batmeter.dll.mun to batmeter.dll.mun.old) and then copy the modified file into the folder. Once you restart Windows 11 you should see the new icons. To change the start button, start menu and taskbar to Windows 7 you need Openshell. You can find a download of the Windows 7 "orb" and replace the start button to make it more realistic. If you want to restore the taskbar rightclick menu and more, you need Explorer Patcher. The latter also allows you to change many other interface parts to look just like Windows 7. If you want Windows Vista/7 gadgets you need 8gadgetpack. You can even add Windows Media Center. I'm sure you can find more details at appropriate threads in Customization section. You can also restore Windows Photo Viewer, Old calculator, Windows Classic games, Sticky Notes classic, Microsoft Paint classic etc etc. Start with downloading Winaero Tweaker, it's all there.

So couldn’t I technically take the windows login files and convert them over to windows 11 files or just transfer them?

What do you mean? You want to see Windows 7 account icons on login screen? Yes, you can do that as well. They are at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\UserAccountPictures if I remember correctly. I use the blue one with the boat for my account.
