Suddenly, when I drag & drop files from one location to another on the same drive, Windows defaults to Copy instead of Move.
It's pretty easy to set the default copy behavior with reg hacks and some tools. Which I've done. Repeatedly.
But Windows is still defaulting to copy.
Anyone else?

No, the default is that Windows will Move a file if the source and target are on the same drive. It's always done this since cave times.
Mine is now copying no matter where the target is.

Well, I got up today to find that this has somehow fixed itself. I have no idea how.

If this happens again here is the solution in one of Brink's tutorials Change Default Drag and Drop Action in Windows 11 I applied his .reg file and now my drag and drop is always "move" no matter where I drag a file or folder to.
