Win has this automatic MSN news website when you open up the Edge browser. They need to stop pushing that on us! It is so far loony liberal left with blatant lies. it isn't even news, just lies and hate. They mix some entertainment news from tv and movies. Whomever decided to hard code it into Windows really should have been fired pushing this. I know you can dig it out, but we should not have to. IMHO.

Not only news and useful information, but, more and more, users are getting used to having the National Enquirer type stuff shoved in their face..., some even want it..., MS caters to that! It's money in the bank.

I think it must be regional as in France the news dished up is not particularly biased one way or the other as far as I can see. It seems to be a mix of "proper" news, some lightweight stuff, some paparazzi stuff, weather and the occasional advert.

I wouldn't know about any of that, never see any of it.
First thing I do in Edge after a clean install is click the little cogwheel at the top right and turn the 'content' off. :lmao:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. Simply by blocking msn.com via DNS or HOSTS, you will get a nice and clean new page, without any extension.
