I have a question about WD Core isolation toggle switch. Did Microsoft get rid of this setting? I neither have it on my Win 10 nor my Win 11. It just one day a couple of weeks ago, just disappear. Anyone know if this is true? And why did they do it?
Thanks.

Is the page missing or are just the options grayed out? There's a big difference. Virtualization must be enabled in the bios to see it.

You're running an incompatible cpu which may well be why the page is no longer showing. It says HERE that some of the consequences of running incompatible hardware are missing out on critical features, such as the Core isolation page not being available.

Yes, I know my CPU is a 7th Gen and I have been running Win 11 since it first came out. Runs great. BUT....I also mentioned above, that I do not see the toggle switch on Win 10 either. I had it on both, up until now. Under Device Security, I have Security Processor and below, Secure boot. What's missing on this page is the toggle switch for Core Isolation. All I want to know is if MS got rid of it. I have had it all along. I have always had it on both Win 10 and Win 11. The page is there and the Core Isolation isn't.

Sorry about that. Yeah, you're right. My machine is fully compatible and it's gone from my security page as well and I wasn't aware of it. I have a feeling it's because I have secure boot turned off in UEFI bios. Memory integrity setting is gone too. I'll do a little research. If I find a concrete answer I'll get back to you.

I can find absolutely nothing explaining the changes to security settings page. I have a suspicion this is all related to the July update which rolled out phase 2 of the secure boot security revocations that began in the May update. My page says "Standard Hardware Security not Supported" with no core isolation and no memory integrity settings although my hardware if fully compatible. The only thing I did after the May update is disable secure boot as I wanted no part of the revocations, at least not yet.

@Brink, Do you have an answer here. Am I right?

What is confusing to me is I always saw the settings for memory integrity and core isolation and had both turned on. I hadn't visited my device security settings page since so can not say for sure when the settings page changed. The only thing I've done is disable secure boot until we know more about the secure boot revocations and I did that in June.. Look at the 2 attached screenshots. Everything is check marked green but no memory integrity and no core isolation settings.

When I click the 'learn more' link, it takes me here. Instead of just telling me I do not have secure boot on, it completely changed the settings page., Device protection in Windows Security - Microsoft Support
