Windows Defender "Skipped File" - How do I find out what it is?

During full system scan, I get the common Windows defender skipped a file message. However, I can't seem to find out what the file is? What log would this show up in so I can check. I don't have any exclusions set so I know that isn't it. Thanks.

When an AV skips a file, it's because it can't read that file or because you made an exclusion for that file.
Reasons that the file can't be read are things like the file is encrypted with a password, a zip file with a password... etc.

I tried using the cipher /u /n /h > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\encrypted_files.txt" command. No files were listed. Is there another way to find out if there is some password protected file somewhere?

In the past, I've downloaded zip files with passwords. It could be something like that.

You can find Defender logs in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Support. If files are skipped, there will usually be a log with a name starting with "MPScanSkip."

You may also find interesting events in the Applications and Services Logs in Event Viewer, under Microsoft | Windows | Windows Defender | Operational, but I don't know the event IDs for skipped files off the top of my head.
