Solved windows doesnt have a workaround for WEBP image files

i have several thousand WEBP image files. when try set as background image the dialog doesnt give me that option. instead ill have to edit in irfanview or other source. jpg, png files no problem

Explorer doesn't support setting WEBP files as your desktop background. But you can open them in Windows Photos App, and make the current image your lock screen or desktop background.

You can also use the IrfanView batch conversion capability convert all those files to the graphics format of your choice. That's what I do with WEBP files.
