Windows Explorer.exe keeps crashing over and over and it's driving me absolutely insane

I'm honestly up to here with this. As soon as I open up a video editor like Davinci Resolve, Windows explorer just starts getting in a crash loop. It'll do it when watching videos, typing in Word, and playing Minecraft. It's incredibly annoying. I tried asking for help in Reddit but they suggested re-installing. I have so many thing on here and I would rather get to the bottom of this. It's been doing this for the last several months and it's getting hard to live this this. I've tried updating Nvidia drivers to no avail.

Welcome to the forum. Work your way through these suggestions, checking explorer after each one.

If one is installed, uninstall any 3rd party app that alters the GUI. eg:start 11, open shell, startallback, etc.

Make sure you have no corrupt system files that is causing this problem. Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow
Pay attention to the scan results to see if SFC found anything it could not repair. If it found corruption it could not fix followup with this command (note the spaces)
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Restart computer

See if the issue is present in safe mode.

Perform a clean boot to eliminate software conflict causing the issue. If it doesn't happen in a clean boot, you have some software conflicting with Windows. Brink's procedure will help you weed out which one. Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 11 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts Tutorial If it still happens in clean boot continue on.

Repair Install Windows 11 Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade Tutorial (You could also do a reset here but IMO a repair is a better option. A repair install can fix a plethora of issues.

In any case, I suggest you backup your personal files in case something goes wrong.
