Hi forum,

"For improved security, only ..." option is always on and is greyed out. I want to disable it, any idea?
I have a local admin account with a password (pin) enabled. (Win ver: 22000.778)

Windows Hello PIN Remove button greyed out in Windows 11/10

If the Windows Hello PIN Remove button is greyed out in Windows 11/10, then disable Only allow Windows Hello sign-in option or Use Forgot PIN option.

Once you do this you can then remove pin/fingerprint/facial recognition

@glasskuter Thanks. I have read this article before. My problem is I can't disable the second option (For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device). It needs to be disabled first!
I have set a password for Windows login (local Account) and I have no Windows Hello pin enabled. I want to disable it (second option) to use Widgets without sign-in to MS account.

You are currently logged into Windows with a Local Account, that option can only be enabled if you log into Windows with a Microsoft Account.
